Redington Claymore Spey & Switch Rod

A versatile series of two-handed rods, Redington’s Claymore has the perfect option whether you’re just getting started in the two-hand world or want a new stick to chase west coast steelhead. Built in various line weights and lengths, the Claymore offers both a Spey and Switch version, providing true versatility at a middle-of-the-road-pricepoint. The Claymore is built with a fast-action that provides smooth casting over a wide range of different line types–from overhead casting their 13’6” 8-weight with a heavy T-17 head to swinging wetflies right in the surface film at rising trout, the Claymore does it all. And while the Claymore is a tool focused on fishing, it does feature high-quality components such as integrated Polymer Pinch Grips on the cork for consistent line control as well as a tough down-locking reel seat that helps to provide immediate balance to your setup.

Blank

Graphite - The Claymore features a graphite blank with a fast action. This blank provides the finesse needed to softly swing flies over rising trout while maintaining the power necessary to bomb casts and battle tough opponents.

The Claymore also comes with a solid look through its gray blank that’s perfectly accented by the Polymer Pinch Grips on the cork. Whether you’re taking this rod to an open beach at low tide or a deep canyon in the middle of winter, you can count on the Claymore’s looks to make you smile.

Reel Seat

Anodized Aluminum Reel Seat - Redington’s Claymore is built with an Anodized Aluminum Reel Seat. This reel seat is durable, lightweight, and resists corrosion for hassle-free use in saltwater. Redington also makes this reel seat with a down-locking configuration to improve balance and keep your reel seated all day long.

Rod Tube

Traveling, whether it’s two miles down the road or across the globe, can be especially tough with longer Spey and Switch rods, but Redington makes things easy and secure by including a Cordura rod tube with integrated dividers.
