Hareline Mono Nymph Eyes

Starting at: $2.99

When the fish are super picky and you need every stitch of realism you can get, Hareline has exactly what you need with their Mono Nymph Eyes. Perfect for adding realistic, lightweight, and durable eyes to your nymphs, these synthetic Nymph Eyes are a great addition to larger patterns like stoneflies, hexs, and dragonflies. Super easy to tie in and available in a range of sizes and colors, these eyes give a true-to-life appearance that’s tough for fish to turn down.

Uses

Hareline’s Mono Nymph Eyes are used for tying eyes into nymph patterns. These eyes are great for imitating larger nymphs like stoneflies, big mayflies, dragonflies, and damselflies, but with their size variety, you can also use them to tie smaller nymphs equally as well. Another solid use for these eyes is to tie into streamer patterns whenever you want to add eyes but don’t want any additional weight–we’ve been using these to tie lightweight Schminnows for saltwater docklight fishing for years with excellent success.

Comparisons

If you’re looking for another option of Mono Eyes, Spirit River’s Barbell Mono Eyes are almost exactly the same as Hareline’s Mono Nymph Eyes. Two differences, however, are that Spirit River’s option does not come in a range of sizes, but they are made in bold colors like Yellow, Hot Pink, and more, so if you want a less-subtle look to your flies, these eyes are the way to go.
